About the Event
Erddig Hall originally the home of the Yorke family has been preserved by the National Trust for everyone to enjoy.
The theme for visitors this summer is ‘Summer with the Yorke’s’, to show how the original family enjoyed the gardens and park during the summer months. One of the activities enjoyed by the Yorke's was to paint and sketch, often in the garden. There is plenty of photographic evidence suggesting it was a favourite hobby, especially in the Victorian Garden, which is in full bloom throughout the summer. A fabulous location for natural inspiration.
CAS members have been invited by the National Trust to sketch and paint in the gardens on Saturday 30th August.
Please register if you would like to attend. Admission to the gardens for artists will be free.
Tea and coffee will be available. There is also a restaurant and shop on site.
