About the Event
28th January 2021 Zoom session on Paint like Turner His work was so exquisite we need to understand his techniques further to adopt them giving another dimension to your work. The image Heather in the Highlands came out of my own imagination - which is the way I enjoy painting as it feer, more creative and allows the painting to develop without anything to copy.
So, please feel free to have an image of your own favourite landscape - one with water and distant hills.

recommended Brushes and canvas
I will be working on a 24 x 24-inch canvas if you prefer to work on a smaller one that is fine but big brushes strokes are part of the process here
decorator 1" and 2" and 3 broad flat hake brushes these may be purchased online from the Works 3 for £3vyou will find these very useful and are very cheap
I will be using Limited palette of colours
24 x 24-inch canvas Liquin original as it flows better for this type of painting Prussians Blue, Burnt Umber, yellow ochre, indigo, Titanium White, Dioxazine purple for heathers Diamond and pear-shaped palette knives,
From the Works tear-off palette hake brushes wash brushes ie: flat brushes
