"Inspiration with Inks" with Helen Melvin

Using botanical inks in a variety of ways with guest artist Helen Melvin 

During the morning Helen will be teaching us how to produce beautiful dyed papers using botanical inks (which she will bring).    In the afternoon we will be able to explore more uses for dyed papers (ours will be drying but Helen will bring some) including collage, and concertina books and embellishment with Arabic calligraphy pens and gold ink (which again Helen will bring).

A list of equipment Helen recommends we bring -

Paper, Scissors  ( I do have some but probably not enough for everyone), Brushes (particularly fine ones ), Rinse jug,

Kitchen paper, Pritt stick, Palette for mixing inks, Any dip pen or calligraphy pens people have but don’t get especially as I have some, Something to cover their table with and to put underneath table to protect the floor…
